Long-Term Goals (2026–2030)

Corstorphine in Bloom is about more than planting. Over the years 2026 to 2030, it can bring together 150 businesses, 50 community groups and local residents across a population of 22,000 to improve the place we all share. By working together, Corstorphine can build a stronger collective voice: one that is organised, visible and worth consulting on the future of the area.

This is a practical long-term plan to make Corstorphine greener, more attractive, more wildlife-friendly and more connected, while giving local people and organisations a stronger say in shaping their community.

These are the long-term goals that can guide that shared effort between 2026 and 2030.

  • Make Corstorphine a better place to live.
  • Create permanent perennial beds and wildflower meadows in key locations.
  • Develop a themed trail linking planting areas across Corstorphine.
  • Build a pollinator corridor connecting gardens, parks and verges.
  • Help tackle climate pressures by absorbing rainfall and increasing greenery to cool the area.
  • Build long-term capacity in our parks and local volunteer networks.
  • Work with climate and biodiversity partners such as Edinburgh Living Landscape.
  • Progress from It’s Your Neighbourhood to Beautiful Scotland and, in time, Britain in Bloom.
  • Improve wellbeing, pride and happiness across the community.
