We’re your neighbours, helping Corstorphine bloom
We’re a friendly group of residents who love Corstorphine and want to make our streets, parks, and green spaces even more welcoming — for people, pollinators and businesses. The Five Parks within the Corstorphine and Clermiston Community Council area are working together with the community council and as of March 2026 over 50 businesses who have expressed an interest.. We are talking to the council and zoo about taking the idea forward but need local people to say they support this.
Everyone is welcome — however you’d like to join in.
Our aims are simple:
- To brighten the local environment with seasonal displays in planters, hanging baskets, and flower beds.
- To create opportunities for residents of all ages to get involved, make new connections, and enjoy the well-being benefits of gardening and gentle exercise.
- To increase footfall for our businesses
- To encourage biodiversity by choosing plants that support bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
- To celebrate Corstorphine and Clementon’s unique character and contribute to a welcoming, vibrant neighbourhood.
We will work in partnership with schools, community groups, local businesses, and the City of Edinburgh Council. Together, we want to build a project that everyone can be proud of – and that reflects the creativity, energy, and spirit of our community.
Whether you can spare 15 minutes to water a planter, sponsor a basket, or simply stop to enjoy the flowers, you are part of making Corstorphine bloom. 🌸
