Help Brighten Corstorphine
Corstorphine in Bloom is a local effort to make our streets, shopping areas and public spaces greener, brighter and more welcoming.
We are now inviting local residents to register their interest in helping in small, practical ways — from occasional watering to supporting a nearby planter or simply staying informed.
If enough local people come forward, it strengthens the case for wider Council support.
Ways You Can Get Involved
You can choose one or more of the following options.
Help Care for a Planter
We are looking for local people who can help keep a planter watered and weed free. Even a small amount of time now and then can make a visible difference.
Adopt a Planter with Others
Some planters may be looked after by a small team of neighbours or local volunteers, so no one person has to do everything.
Help with Planting Days
You can volunteer occasionally when flowers are being planted or refreshed.
Register Your Support and Receive Updates
You can also register your support simply to stay informed about progress, funding news, Council approvals, planting days and local success stories.
Why Get Involved?
- improve the appearance of Corstorphine
- make local streets and shopping areas more welcoming
- support wildlife and pollinators
- strengthen community spirit and local pride
- help build the case for Council support
Even a small amount of help can make a real difference.
What Happens Next?
- We will keep a record of interested supporters.
- We will review where there is enough interest to move forward.
- Where needed, we will link volunteers with nearby planter locations or local groups.
- We will contact people again with the next practical steps.
Registering interest does not commit you to ongoing work.
