What is Corstorphine in Bloom?
Corstorphine in Bloom is a practical community project to improve shopping areas, streets and public spaces with flowers, planters and local care.
The aim is simple: make the area look better, feel more welcoming and bring people together. We want to make it easy for residents, businesses and organisations to play a part, without heavy bureaucracy.
Some people may help care for a planter. Some businesses may support flowers outside their premises. Some organisations may encourage local involvement. Together, small actions can make a visible difference.

A local nature trail with native species
Corstorphine in Bloom is also exploring a wider nature theme linked to native plants and animals.
The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland has said it is keen to focus on native species as part of the trail and could provide advice on local wildlife, native species information and conservation work.
We are also exploring the use of QR codes linking people to interpretation about native species and conservation projects. This could help create a local trail that is attractive to residents, families, schools and visitors.
