Met with council on 7th October. We discussed

1. Corstorphine in Bloom seeks to provide a framework for businesses, organisations and volunteers to easily adopt and plant flowers across Corstorphine. It will put in place a structure and route map for people to follow that has been approved by council partners. This means very little central control or effort is required other than startup or listing volunteers. Launch is 1 Jan as a great date for getting new volunteers. Things need to be in place for then.
2. Can the council provide public liability insurance for volunteers doing work on stone planters in the same way as parks officials do? Some of the volunteers are families, others will be organisations.
3. Can the council provide permission to place new planters? What is the process? This would be consistent with
   • Pathway to Install Planters and Hanging Baskets
   • Sponsorship Signs
4. Would any plants be provided by the nursery at the Inch? If not, is there a recommended source
5. Is there a list of stone planters, LTN planters (to stop traffic), lamp post planters (all over Corstorphine) and approved business planters?
6. How will access to water be provided? Is there something the council can do to help this?
7. We discussed the possibilities of trails around Corstorphine with objects or items to see around the community.
8. Are there any other improvements we could be considering under the bio diversity plans? Grass cutting. Pollinator corridors?
