Proposed installation

Cornerstone Smile would like to install one rectangular planter on the shop front. There is sufficient room for the communications cabinet to open its doors.

Planter dimensions (each):

Length: 2,000 mm
Depth from building: 500 mm
Height: 700 mm
Number: 1

The planters would be dark grey/black and positioned against the frontage so that they do not unnecessarily encroach into the pedestrian route.

The proposed arrangement will maintain well more than the minimum amount

Access and safety

The proposed position has been selected so that:

the planters do not obstruct the entrance
the normal pedestrian route past the premises remains clear;
wheelchair users, people using mobility aids and people with buggies can continue to pass;
the planters do not obstruct utility covers or other street furniture – we checked the dfoor opening for the communications box;
adequate separation from the carriageway is maintained; and
the planters are stable and maintained by the business/Corstorphine in Bloom.
