Lots of great progress

• We have over 147 supporters and 13 businesses ready to put planters and baskets  outside shops
• The meeting with the zoo was very successful and they will provide 15 locations with two animals – one “sexy” and one endangered species
• Businesses with their own land now want to proceed and that is being developed
• Metal grill removal planned this week. 
• We have registered with It’s Your Neighbourhood and Keep Scotland Beautiful
• We have registered as a Greenspaces group with the council. 
• We are now preparing standard documents on  risk assessment , health and safety and insurance 
• We have professional gardeners willing to help us and someone from the Royal Botanic Gardens has also been in touch
• We have set-up a forum for people to contact each other. Still needs tested
• We are listing flower beds in parks so folk have something to do.

Questions

1. What support can we get from the nursery/Rangers in the coming weeks? Plants, soil and whisky barrels were mentioned
2. Can you confirm in writing that the council public liability will cover gardening work in planters on St John’s Road and others if we have risk assessments and health and safety guidelines
3. Any update on narrow planters outside shops? Can photos, measurements and google street view be used to speed this up?
4. What is happening about the Active Travel planters that Martyn Lings has?
